Forgetting to remember

The past several days I've been faced with the craziest, mind-boggling, heart-wrenching, confusing, confounding situation I could have never imagined - you get the picture - mind blown. A friend sent me an astrology writing about this new moon and the first line read, Venus the Love Goddess is having a moment this weekend. I just about spit out my tea. That's putting it mildly! No rose colored glasses for this lunation my friends. It's all about what you need to see and Spirit has your back.

In the wee hours this morning, 24 hours into this new moon in Gemini, the twins, I was awakened with a deep wave of grief. Wondering how I had landed in this experience and where to go from here. What ensued was a curious journey into the past that brought me full circle to something one of his close friends posted on FaceBook the day my husband died:

“On days like today...When my heart is sinking...The unanswered questions, the “why’s”...I have to remind myself that God is a BIG PICTURE GOD...and that He aways KNOWS, and DOES only what is PERFECTLY GOOD... And that He sees the beginning and the end at the same time...and that He is NOTHING but pure Love...pure kindness...and as hard as it is in these types of situations...that everything works together for good to those who love God and are called according to His purposes...The Universe is blessed, God is blessed, I am blessed.”

Big picture God indeed. What was written 7+ years ago came full circle to me when it was most needed. In the moment of reading it, I realized that I'd forgotten to remember. To remember the big picture. Remember what it is to be loved, truly loved, from the inside out. Remember that just because the road is rougher, longer, or more arduous than we imagined. We're more exhausted than we thought possible, and the path seems anything but clear - everything works together for good.

The Gemini twins reflect the polarity and duality in our world and in our lives. Sometimes, we have to forget to remember, and in doing so the remembrance becomes a force for creation, for healing, for moving onwards. This new moon period and the weeks and months to come are here to usher in a period of remembrance. Remembering our goodness, our gratitude, our gifts, and the grace that surrounds us. Remembering that nothing is ever lost, it will always come full circle back to us, although likely in new form.

I've been humbled to ally with with clients these past weeks who are ready to remember. They arrive willing to do the good work needed to heal and open their hearts, remember their dreams, remember their power. Each one of us who remembers, even a little bit more, opens the way and brings the light for others. Healing ourselves and remembering our beauty is the most powerful service we can offer, the greatest legacy we can create.

Wherever you are in your life, now is the time to remember what you may have forgotten, because we all forget at times. I did. While unexpected, I recognize this intense wave in my life is part of the big picture and divinely timed. What in your life is showing up to help you remember? Allow it to carry you beyond the duality and extremes of experience and into the heart of what's most important for you to see and know in this moment.

Be brave and allow yourself to remember, it's the only way home 💜
