why work with stones?
You’re probably familiar with acupuncture or Chinese herbal medicine, but stone medicine actually came first. You know that term “woo woo” in reference to weird practices that seem a bit out there? Well, Wu in this tradition means healing and working with stones definitely brings the Wu, which is what you’re looking for, right?
Stainless steel needles for acupuncture didn’t exist in the early days, the first treatments were done with stones. The protocols I work with can be traced back at least 3,000 years! These healing practices have stood the test of time. Remember back to geology class — minerals and stones formed first in the creation of the earth, so when we work with them, you’re accessing the deepest, most lasting form of healing available. It’s no wonder so many are being drawn to the medicine of the stone kingdom.

Stone & Crystal medicine
My affinity for this form of healing came to the fore only after traveling to Peru. I’d been called to the sacred mountain, Apu Ausangate for profound initiations and personal healing. Upon my return, I started having wild dreams about stones.
Beyond the medicine stones in my healing bundle, I didn’t have a collection I worked with. I’d awaken most days with a clear directive to go find the stones and crystals from my dreams. I’d sit in my morning meditation and receive a knowing of which shop to visit to locate the stones. I’d go to the shop, wander around for a bit until I’d see the stone or crystal from dreamtime. It was truly a wild experience.
As I collected the stones, I felt drawn to arrange them in complex, geometric configurations, some so large they occupied the whole floor of my healing space. I didn’t know it at the time, but I was creating medicinal grids using the stones to channel or focus healing energies in specific ways.
It was only after I started shyly bringing a stone or two to my acupuncture treatments, that I discovered a new path of medicine. The stones had led me to my teacher, Sarah Thomas of Upper Clarity Stone Medicine.
As I began to better understand the principles of stone medicine and the profound wisdom they impart through their frequencies, I knew this would be a thread of healing to weave into my own medicine practice. It’s my greatest to joy to share this form of healing with you.
Meet the Stones workshop
Join me for an in-person class, taught weekly at Red Mountain Resort, to learn the basics of Chinese stone & crystal medicine. You’ll learn about five stones and experience a stone treatment in a group setting.
CLearing the ghosts
