Standing on solid ground

Following a presentation with a retreat group, a delightful and overwhelmed mama came up to speak with me. She asked "How do I keeping doing it? All the things. Every day?" I looked at her and the words that came were, "Do what you need to do for yourself to stay sane. The rest will be OK." She breathed a huge sigh of relief and said "Thank you! I needed that." This brief conversation reminded me, that sometimes, we just need to know that EVERYTHING IS OK. It's not about answers, solutions, or insights. It's about solidarity and the solid ground of recognizing we are each doing our best.

During this period of the Taurus New Moon, we are invited to find our solid ground. If you've been feeling the ground beneath your feet and your life, moving, shaking, shifting, this is the time to set clear intentions to discover your solid ground. It doesn't matter how small or expansive that patch of ground is, all that matters is that you find it and plant your feet.

Solid ground can be found in the physical and practical aspects of life. What is it time to spruce up, repair, or restore in your living space? What aspects of your physical health could use a tune up or some loving attention? What can you do, in this moment, to create a little respite for yourself?

Feed your senses, look for the beauty, inhabit the moments of joy and pleasure no matter how fleeting they may seem. Acknowledgement and gratitude for what IS working, IS meeting needs, IS supportive goes a long way to bring you to solid ground. Even when nothing feels OK, there is solid ground to be found, at least enough to plant your feet for a few deep breaths. Allow yourself to find it and rest there, be held there. Slow and steady my friends. You are discovering the solid ground for powerful new beginnings.

For anyone who needs to hear this today, EVERYTHING IS OK.

This New Moon came with a theme song so turn it up, ENJOY, and repeat as needed.
