Get Ready to Ride

It's noteworthy when thresholds of the new converge on a single day across many cultures and traditions. Today is the Lunar (Chinese) New Year, Imbolc in the Celtic tradition, Fat Tuesday (Mardis Gras), the beginning of Ramadan, a new moon, AND a solar eclipse. If you're in the market for an influx of fresh energy, get ready to ride!

The year of the Fire Horse comes galloping in today. It's carries BIG heart energy for expansion, freedom, and grounded new beginnings. Fire moves quickly as does the majestic and powerful horse. After a year of being mentored by the snake to shed the old, the horse arrives to teach us its ways of strength, rhythm, and building solid foundations for new creations. 

A simple ritual to welcome the arrival of this new energy is to cleanse and clear the threshold of your home. Wipe down the front door. Sweep away the debris and cobwebs of winter. Refresh this entry point into your physical space to open the gateway of opportunities. You might also consider the place you feel to be the heart of your home and take some time to spruce it up a bit too. Even minor cleaning and clearing can do wonders to awaken your heart energy to a fresh cycle.
