Root into the mystery

For over a decade now, January 1st hasn't felt like a gateway into the new. Instead it heralds a time of heaviness, grief revisited, and composting into the dark soil of winter that which is too much to carry.

Perhaps like me, your New Year doesn't arrive in sync with the calendar. Maybe you feel the stirrings of new beginnings as the Lunar New Year arrives with the first new moon in early February. Or maybe you're just now starting to come out of an inner hibernation as you feel the approach of springtime.

It was only last week that I truly began to feel a lightness return. The threads of new beginnings started to appear. Some are threads of what unraveled three years ago at the start of the pandemic. Plot twists and plans that went to the wayside. Some are entirely new, vibrant and exciting. Some are still very much a mystery.

When our inner cycles and rhythms don't match the grind culture we're living in, it can be easy to feel like you're lost in the dark. But even in the harsh depths of winter, deep in their roots, all flowers keep the light.

The Worm Moon is in its fullness tonight. I've come to appreciate the timing of this particular full moon, especially the worms. They help us compost the old, what's rotten and heavy, creating rich, fertile soul that will nourish our roots making new growth possible. The Worm Moon is my harbinger of a new year dawning.

I encourage you to take a few moments tonight to stand outside under the full moon. Breathe deeply into your body. Exhale out the soles of your feet, sending her glorious light deep into your roots. Invite this wise grandmother to illuminate a thread of new beginning in your own life.

Over the past year and recent months, I've pondered roots and compost and growth. I've reflected on a decade of intentional, personal healing and supporting clients on their own healing journeys. As a practitioner and wellness educator, I used to try to teach about energy to demystify it, make it more understandable and approachable. I was so wrong.

What I've come to understand is that the most potent form of healing comes when we root into the mystery. When we activate our curiosity and explore what feels unknowable. When we deepen our roots, we flourish and thrive.

Over the next months, I invite you to join me for a series of online classes designed to nourish your roots. Together we'll root deeper into the mysteries of energy medicine, your energetic biofield, and practices that will help you to rise up and live your very best life.

The approaching equinox is time of balance, harmony and equanimity. It's a threshold into a space of possibility and promise. In preparation for this gateway, I invite you to join me for our first class, Energy for the Equinox.

We'll delve into the mechanics of your biofield, because knowledge is empowering. I'll share what I've distilled from a decade of working in this sacred, multidimensional space, and guide you through a practice to restore your energy and boost your vitality so you can deepen your roots and rise up to meet your new beginnings.

I hope to see you in a few weeks. If not this class, then sometime soon. Until then, remember to step outside tonight and bring the light into your roots.
